The Art of Connection: Rebuilding the Bridges of Family Communication In the heart of every thriving home, family communication tips are the tools that bridge
As a child, I often wondered what has positive thinking got to do with life? Everyone around me focused on the saying of health is wealth. I always took it for granted, thinking that with health comes wealth.
As I grew older and matured, I analyzed people around me who thought were wealthy but were not healthy.
And it was a punch back with a big question of WHY? From here on, my quest for answering this WHY began. Today, I am going to answer this WHY? And how positive thinking draws us towards making healthy food choices/healthy snacks.
You see when we say that health is wealth; it is not something we can measure with a yardstick rather by posing questions to people regarding their health and use of certain medical instruments, are we in a position to know where they stand.
As Aesop says, “A man is known by the company he keeps”.http://www.Goodreads.com Our bodies are known by the attitude we possess towards life as well as the kind of healthy snack we consume or the healthy lifestyle we maintain.
We are healthy when we have a positive attitude towards life. We have a different lens of looking at things. This lens differs from person to person. People with a healthy lifestyle are often the ones, who emit positive vibes.
They have this aura that captivates us. These people have developed a whole system of healthy living over decades that captivate us and motivate us towards healthy eating. Let us have a look at some of the healthy snacks/food that make us enjoy life. https://www.sabahataamir.com/easy-way-to-main…healthy-and-wealthy/
Our positive thinking leads us towards making healthy choices in terms of food snacks. We prefer cooking at home, experimenting with different ingredients that suit our taste buds.
Just imagine, your favorite fruit or berry is frozen a night before and blended in milk along with a handful of nuts.
A thoroughly, divine experience, I would say. You can either use it in the form of a smoothie or turn it into a frozen pop.
Secondly, since we are living in a fast pace age, we prefer to take along healthy go snacks.
A Granola bar or fruity flapjacks or even oats combined with dark chocolate is a delight. It is healthy as well as full of nutrients.
Thirdly, consuming fiber can prevent us from many diseases and may help us live longer. It also prevents us from heart disease, risk of type 2 diabetes, prevents us from certain cancers, and provides us with a natural detoxification.
Fourthly, the inclusion of veggies, carrots, cucumbers, kale, tomato, etc., makes a healthy food choice/snack. A bowl full of nutrients will not only keep us healthy but will also boost our energy levels to carry out day-to-day activities.
And lastly, positive thinking leads us towards boosting our immunity against diseases that in normal circumstances might kill us. Positive thinking is a blessing in disguise. If we want to lead a positive life, we need to take control of our lives and take every step to lead the life we desire.
When we are conscious about our health, we will definitely make amendments in our life to make them progressive and healthy.
Positive thinking works as a third eye thus enlightening us and opening up our minds towards a high standard of living and maintaining a healthy eating style. If we are positive, we tend to be around positive people and tend to help troubled souls. We inculcate the habit of smiling, singing, and reading in our day-to-day lives.
It is our positive vibes that people pick and are inspired in return. Thus, in reality, positive thinking helps us in making healthy food choices in life.
Think about it. Until next time, stay safe and healthy.
How nice it is to celebrate one’s happiness among loved ones.
This need is felt mostly in cases when one cannot celebrate due to the events that are taking place in the surroundings.
Today, I aim to discuss the Eid scenario in Pakistan and how it is being celebrated in these times. So let’s start.
Firstly, Eid is a festivity that is celebrated with a grandeur after observing 30 Days of Fast along with prayers and duas for forgiveness.
It is celebrated with the buying of new clothes, jewellery, shoes, and other accessories which make the Eid festivities special.
Secondly, all loved and dear ones gather on this day to their relative’s homes to enjoy the celebration with the traditional sweets and foods.
What a joy it is to eat sheer khurma and kheer along with the spicy Biryani. Oh God, even writing makes my mouth water.
Thirdly, what makes this day more special is the money/Eidi given by the elders to the young.
This is a token of their love for their children, relatives, and acquaintances.
The amount of the Eidi, as we call it here in Pakistan does not matter. What matters is the love and affection that is associated with it.
Fourthly, is the social interaction with friends, colleagues, and acquaintances. And this love and affection are transferred to each separately.
Fifthly, people also travel to a different part of the country just to enjoy their Eid.
And also to witness Eid festivity in different regions and groups.
In the present scenario, most people observed social distancing this time to be safe and keep their loved ones safe too.
Sixthly, people did interact with their loved ones, family, and friends but not by hugging them directly rather through skype, what’s app, and Zoom calls.
A bit different though, yet not undermining the spirit of Eid.
Seventh, most people did not buy new clothes this Eid not because they could not afford them.
Rather stand with the ones who have lost their means of livelihood due to COVID-19.
This my friend, is the true spirit of Eid.
Eighthly, these Eid people have exclusively opened their hearts for the ones in need rather than focussing on the celebration among the better lot.
And lastly, on this Eid, people have employed new ways of making their Eid productive. They are flying kites on their rooftops.
Though maintaining social distancing, still their hearts are in line with each other.
In the end, I would like to say that these times are a test of our patience and determination to pull through.
We may in the future have many more Eids but the lessons we will learn now will go a long way.
Think about it. Until next time, stay safe and healthy.
