Firstly, you need to be physically active as physical activities are very essential in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Today, with the many modern gadgets and technological devices, it has become so easy to become physically inactive.

All you have to do is just spend most of your time at home using your laptop, TV, tablets, smartphones, etc.

Thus being physically inactive will surely have negative effects on your health.

Secondly, you should always bear in mind that living a healthy lifestyle is not only dependent upon the food we eat and the sports we practice, but it is also dependent upon the activities we indulge in and how we do them.

The fact that you refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol cannot be overemphasized.

It is probably the most important aspect of living a healthy lifestyle that you can practice.

 

Thirdly, a healthy lifestyle is not just about what you eat or how much you exercise. It’s also about how you think and feel.

According to the National Institute of Health, your thoughts and feelings affect your physical health.

 It is important to take care of your mental state as well as your physical state.

Many activities can help with this, such as Tai chi, meditation, and even gardening.

These activities are both enjoyable and healthy for the body and mind.

Fourthly, cycling too is one of the most beneficial activities for your physical and mental health. You can cycle daily to work, for shopping, or just go on a long bike ride with friends.

Cycling helps with weight management by burning calories and lowering body fat.

Apart from the obvious benefits of cycling, it also reduces stress levels and covers distances more quickly than walking or running which means that you will be doing less harm to your body too.

Fifthly, is Walking. It doesn’t take much effort at all; all you need is a pair of shoes and the most comfortable clothes possible.

You can go for a walk around your community or even around your building. Walking has been proven to improve your mood and lead to weight.

Sixthly, spending time outdoors is also a fruitful activity as it can help in reducing stress and anxiety, boosting concentration and creativity, and enjoying the benefits of fresh air.

Spending time outside also means having space to move around and exercising in a natural setting.

This is beneficial for the body, mind, and spirit because it increases blood flow and releases endorphins while providing an opportunity to be immersed in nature’s beauty.

It also helps you connect with others while experiencing different types of physical activity such as biking or hiking, playing, etc.

Seventhly is yoga which requires a focus on breathing cycles while practicing poses such as downward dog, bridge pose, or plank pose among others. Yoga helps people feel more connected to themselves by focusing on themselves and developing stress-relieving exercises.

And last not least is that many activities contribute to a healthy lifestyle.

Some of these activities are more enjoyable than others.

But it’s important to find an activity you enjoy doing so you’ll be motivated to keep doing it!

Gardening, too, can contribute to the development of stress-relieving skills that will greatly contribute to one’s health. Such activities are a great way to express oneself creatively.

In the end, I would like to say that whether you are living with a chronic disease or want to stay fit, every activity counts towards your goal. Exercise daily can help you lose weight, burn calories and prevent health issues.

Hence, the importance of fitness is becoming more evident in today’s society. While some people are not always able to go to the gym, there are a variety of activities that you can do and still receive the same benefits.

It doesn’t matter if you’re an athlete or someone who cannot exercise, there are ways for you to stay healthy and active. Fitness is an important part of life and it has many benefits that reach beyond exercising.

People are living more sedentary lifestyles these days. This is because our lifestyles have become more reliant on technology and less reliant on manual labor.

THE SHIFT

 

Hello Folks!

In the wake of COVID-19, we are all going through a shift nowadays.Today, I aim to talk about the shifts and its effect on us.Let us start.

Firstly, is the shift from outdoor working to indoor working.It is a big shift for all especially who are in the 9 to 5 jobs.All you folks out there don’t worry.

All will be settled and you will soon devise a strategy to cope up with the indoor workings.

Secondly, is the shift in the lives of housewives.I  would rather say not so much.Despite the extra hours of cleaning,still you get plenty of sleep to make up for the deprivation of accumulated sleep.

Frankly, I have never slept so much in my entire life than I do nowadays.

Thirdly, is the shift in our minds.We have started looking at life in a different way altogether.

Our focus on looking things in a particular way has changed.Nothing is immortal in this world.Make the best of it while you can.

Fourthly, businesses are taking a huge U -Turn.There was a time when doing small businesses were considered a shame and people invested in big businesses.

However, due to COVID 19, the businesses that are profiting the most are the groceries and the pharmaceuticals.

So, those of you thinking about investing in businesses ,you know what the best options are in these times.

Fifthly, is the change of lifestyle. Earlier,people’s choices in eating were not so healthy but now the main focus is on healthy eating and drinking to the best possible way.

We were aware of the organic foods and herbs and all but who knew, we would be doing the same we had been hearing for so long.Drinking warm water and boosting our immunity system.

Sixth, is the shift in our bodies.We are all fighters.We may or may not be diagnosed with COVID-19 but my gut feeling is that we are all infected.It is only our immune systems that is keeping us kicking.

So don’t panic.Be firm in your mind and  stay positive.And do not see and listen to all that is going around regarding COVID-19.If we have made it this far, we will pull through it wholly.

Seventh,is the shift in our hearts.People have opened their hearts for everyone around especially the ones in need.

However,only if politicians in Pakistan who have filled their piggy banks with treasure can show a more open heart in this pandemic.

Eighth, is the shift in our mode of communication.We have become more connected with people around the globe especially the ones dear to us and even those who we know not.So social distancing has come as a blessing in disguise.

Connect more with people around and far apart and learn and open yourself.Let people be a part of your life and be a part of others life in the most positive way possible.

And Lastly, be Thankful for what you have and show that thankfulness in the things you do and lives you affect.

In the end I would like to reiterate that this will pass too like so many pandemics.But what we treasure today in the form of shift, acknowledgement and friendships will go a long way.

HEALTHY ON THE GO SNACKS TO HAVE A

To have a successful life, we need to incorporate healthy on the go snacks. As an individual, I would never recommend, just pick and fetch snacks on the go. Rather, I would recommend snacks which everyone can prepare the night before or even in the morning. There are so many things to prepare. Can be fruit bars, or dark chocolate cookies, or smoothies, or vegetables stuffed. Whatever, it is, it has to be healthy. Let us discuss some of the healthy snacks that one can take with them.

 

Firstly, one should always make a time table on weekly basis as what is their schedule in the coming week; whether they will have ample time to cook a detailed meal or not. If schedule is very hard to make for the regular meals, then we all fall back on the healthy snacks. Since we all live in an age where time is running, we have to look after our dietary requirements. Smoothies are quicker to prepare and full of energy and antioxidants. One can always freeze a fruit a night before and early morning prepare a smoothie by adding mint or nuts to it.

 

Secondly, one can make a seasonal fruit salsa and take it to one’s working place or so. Fruits not only fill the stomach but have great nutritional value as well. They also satisfy the sweet tooth because they have natural sugars in them. Even fruit bars are a treat. They are simple and easy to prepare. You can simply prepare them in a microwave or even without one. I will share some of my favorite recipes in the article related to how to prepare healthy snack recipes?

 

Thirdly, cookies are something every kid and adult likes to eat. For a conscious adult, cookies combined with dark chocolate and nuts are just yum. Keeping in mind the calories intake, one can always combine their favorite nuts or berries with the chocolate. Even thinking about it, makes my mouth water. This is one of a healthy go snacks.

 

Fourthly, Chia  pudding too is fulfilling and has quite a good amount of fiber, proteins and minerals to provide energy. Chia seeds can either be used alone or accompanied by blue berries, banana and almonds. One can add a variety according to ones liking and through exploring. Only through exploring and experimenting can one find ones liking and what one may be allergy too.

 

Fifthly, if one has a savory tooth, one can always make a chicken pea and black bean salsa. It not only fills the stomach but also gives energy to carry out daily activities. Both these pulses keeps the hunger away for a long time. One can also bake them and use in the form of bars.

 

Sixthly, boiled eggs stuffed in tomatoes, slightly seasoned and baked are excellent go on snacks. They are fulfilling and nutritious. Eggs have great health benefits and are a good source of vitamins. They are good for even weight loss. And  tomatoes too have a great many health benefits; one mainly, it detoxifies the body and works well on the skin and prevents eye diseases.

 

Lastly, one can also prepare yogurt fruit pops, refrigerate them and take with them where ever one goes. It is not only unique but is altogether an experience worth remembering. All snacks if they serve the right purpose; which is a healthy life can become a successful life.

 

Healthy on go snacks, are not something one can find on the shelves. They need to be prepared on a hygienic level as well as home prepared and freshly made lasting for 3 to 5 days maximum. Plus, these snacks should be free from any kind of preservative. Only, then can we call such snacks healthy on the go snacks leading to have a successful life.
