WHAT ACTIVITIES CAN CONTRIBUTE TO A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE?
Hello Folks!
Have you ever wondered what activities, contribute towards a healthy lifestyle? Well today, I will unveil these activities. So let’s start.
One of the most important things in life that you need to take care of is your health. As the wise say, Health is wealth. No matter how much riches you possess, if you are not healthy enough, then it will be useless.
Firstly, you need to be physically active as physical activities are very essential in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Today, with the many modern gadgets and technological devices, it has become so easy to become physically inactive.
All you have to do is just spend most of your time at home using your laptop, TV, tablets, smartphones, etc.
Thus being physically inactive will surely have negative effects on your health.
Secondly, you should always bear in mind that living a healthy lifestyle is not only dependent upon the food we eat and the sports we practice, but it is also dependent upon the activities we indulge in and how we do them.
The fact that you refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol cannot be overemphasized.
It is probably the most important aspect of living a healthy lifestyle that you can practice.
Thirdly, a healthy lifestyle is not just about what you eat or how much you exercise. It’s also about how you think and feel.
According to the National Institute of Health, your thoughts and feelings affect your physical health.
It is important to take care of your mental state as well as your physical state.
Many activities can help with this, such as Tai chi, meditation, and even gardening.
These activities are both enjoyable and healthy for the body and mind.
Fourthly, cycling too is one of the most beneficial activities for your physical and mental health. You can cycle daily to work, for shopping, or just go on a long bike ride with friends.
Cycling helps with weight management by burning calories and lowering body fat.
Apart from the obvious benefits of cycling, it also reduces stress levels and covers distances more quickly than walking or running which means that you will be doing less harm to your body too.
Fifthly, is Walking. It doesn’t take much effort at all; all you need is a pair of shoes and the most comfortable clothes possible.
You can go for a walk around your community or even around your building. Walking has been proven to improve your mood and lead to weight.
Sixthly, spending time outdoors is also a fruitful activity as it can help in reducing stress and anxiety, boosting concentration and creativity, and enjoying the benefits of fresh air.
Spending time outside also means having space to move around and exercising in a natural setting.
This is beneficial for the body, mind, and spirit because it increases blood flow and releases endorphins while providing an opportunity to be immersed in nature’s beauty.
It also helps you connect with others while experiencing different types of physical activity such as biking or hiking, playing, etc.
Seventhly is yoga which requires a focus on breathing cycles while practicing poses such as downward dog, bridge pose, or plank pose among others. Yoga helps people feel more connected to themselves by focusing on themselves and developing stress-relieving exercises.
And last not least is that many activities contribute to a healthy lifestyle.
Some of these activities are more enjoyable than others.
But it’s important to find an activity you enjoy doing so you’ll be motivated to keep doing it!
Gardening, too, can contribute to the development of stress-relieving skills that will greatly contribute to one’s health. Such activities are a great way to express oneself creatively.
In the end, I would like to say that whether you are living with a chronic disease or want to stay fit, every activity counts towards your goal. Exercise daily can help you lose weight, burn calories and prevent health issues.
Hence, the importance of fitness is becoming more evident in today’s society. While some people are not always able to go to the gym, there are a variety of activities that you can do and still receive the same benefits.
It doesn’t matter if you’re an athlete or someone who cannot exercise, there are ways for you to stay healthy and active. Fitness is an important part of life and it has many benefits that reach beyond exercising.
People are living more sedentary lifestyles these days. This is because our lifestyles have become more reliant on technology and less reliant on manual labor.
We are not getting the proper amount of physical activity that is needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle, which can lead to chronic disease over time.
In today’s fast-paced society, it can be challenging to find the time to take care of our bodies.
I have often come across parents who complain that their children do not participate in sports at all.
Today, I am going to talk about the benefits of sports and why sports needs to be inculcated in children? So let’s start.
Sport is an activity that involves physical exertion of an individual or team carried out for the mere purpose of entertainment or competition.
Secondly, sports inculcates a lot of positive character traits in children of all age groups.
Such traits go a long way in their future lives.
Thirdly, sports help children in being more connected to their surroundings and the people around them.
The element of fear and loneliness subsides when there are people in the surrounding to back them up.
Fourthly, children are prone to developing more friendships due to their curious nature.Such Friendships are not only long lasting but are free from all sorts of prejudices.
Fifthly, through sports children develop the ability of becoming good team mates which helps them in their future endeavors.
Sixthly, sports are good for their mental well being as well.
Children coming from broken families need a vent to their feelings and aggression which is best served by engaging in some kind of healthy sport.
Seventh, through sports children learn from their successes and failures which help them get ready for their future life.
And Lastly, sports help children in recognizing authority and respecting them.
Now, let us try to address how we as parents inculcate physical activities in children.
Firstly, provide open options to your children regarding physical games.Such as cycling, skating, running, mountaineering, rock climbing etc.c
Secondly, take them to different kinds of sports to see what might interest them.Such as cricket, baseball, netball, badminton, tennis or squash etc.,
Thirdly, ask them what they might be interested in.Make a list according to their choices. They might like to do karate, or gymnastics, swimming or may be archery.
Whatever, they like you need to address their problem and find a solution to it.
Fourthly, if a child wants the support of a parent, engage yourself in their support.Don’t think for a moment that you will be embarrassed by playing that particular support.
Unconsciously, you are strengthening your bond with your child for life and ultimately it will bear great fruits.
And lastly, trust your child in what sport they want to pursue.Sports we did in our childhood may not attract them in the way it used to make us glow.
Every Generation is different. For the coming generations we might appear Noobs to some but there’s no limit to our becoming pro’s. So have an open mind dear parents.Â
In the end, I would like to say that children can only develop the habit of sports when you as a parent follow it in practice.Nothing comes without effort.
And the changing times ask us to change too for the mental and physical well being of our children. Not all sports require money to begin.
Isn’t it remarkable to see children growing confident and the best part is when someone compliments the parents on raising confident children.
Today, I aim to discuss tips on how every child can be raised in a way to become confident and be successful in life. So let’s start.
Firstly, Nature has a great role to play in fostering and nurturing children.Thereby, turning them into confident children.
How? I will show you shortly.
Secondly, children are curious by nature and need something to explore.Where do you think will they find the best exposure?
You are right. In nature.
Thirdly, children love to do things in unstructured ways unlike the grown ups who want everything organized.
Their unstructured plays will ultimately lead them to confident children in the later years of life.
Fourthly, another tribute to nature is,excursions in nature. This too helps make children confident.
Camping and learning to survive in nature are some of the activities that have a lot to contribute in building up confidence in children.
Fifthly, any activity related to picking in orchard farms or breaking off fruits or berries from hanging trees too help in making children confident.
Sixth, children require movement.Sitting on the couch all day playing games and watching programs affects the overall health.
A good run outside in the park or painting or jumping or even walking or cycling works miracles in the overall personality of children.
Seventh,to use technology in one’s favour comes as an advantage in many scenarios.
For instance, while taking children to an exploring adventure ask them to explore the theme and what they might be looking for .
Eighth,if you are to inculcate the love of vegetables and fruit in children, let them plant their own garden and look after them. You will be amazed to look at the results.
Ninthly, if you want your children to be confident and responsible, get them any domestic pet and tell them to take care of it all by themselves.
You will never regret your decision.
Lastly, being out in nature is a great source of reduction in stress and fatigue. It comes as a Therapy altogether.
Children who have more exposure to nature are prone to be more confident, more immunised against diseases and more happy in life.
In the end, I would like to say that man is born in the state of nature;entailing within us all. Now, is the time we should start exploring nature and start learning from it.
All solutions to our problems lie in Nature. We just need to open our third eye and see it.
Think about it.Until next time stay Happy and safe.
