SCAPE GOATS FOR TRAINEES

UPCLOSE AND PERSONAL

PART-I

Hello Folks!

Have you ever witnessed and experienced being treated as a scapegoat at the hands of trainees. Most of you will second me because we witness this every day in Pakistan. HOW? I will tell you in detail in just a moment. So let’s start.

For the past three weeks, I have witnessed this, up close and personal. I went to KRL Hospital as my past experiences were really good. Acquaintances and family members who went in for treatment there, came out alive.

The team of doctors then was a good one. It was a good time. However, over the years, I believe the system within the hospital has degraded a lot. This, I witnessed when I went in after a couple of years.

I went in for an emergency but twice, I was referred to the general OPD where a couple of tests were carried out, nothing relevant to the cause.

Keeping in ICU for two days, I was discharged by giving antibiotics for the treatment to be done at home. And to have followed up after a week.

In between, I relapsed again and got admitted, to have another dose of tests and bla bla to be discharged the same day.

The irony is that I was not an entitled patient or any panel and came in a personal capacity as a common citizen of Pakistan. Not that, I didn’t have references but I wanted to see the compassion of Dr.s there as had witnessed in the past.

But, I only saw money minting and experimenting with trainees who were more concerned about their empirical theories about my state without giving me the source of the problem.

And experimenting with their medicines to worsen my condition. When I relapsed the third time and went to the same hospital; this time not only with severe infection but also neck pain.

I kept on insisting to see a neurology Dr. for the neck pain but I was still being treated for the infections. I spent two days in utter misery and pain and discomfort.

All this time, I was at the mercy of the trainees without an experienced, skill-related Dr. I was their scapegoat.

Finally, my prayers were heard and I got relief from my misery. Not by KRL Doctors or trainees or incapacitated staff but through a reference.

Being a Pakistani citizen, I too had to use the reference system to show you my friends that here in Pakistan to be a common person is a sin.

If you want to live, you need to have support at your back. Otherwise, every one of us is scapegoats at the hands of the trainee doctors who are incapacitated in times of emergencies.

Thanks to my paternal cousins and family that I was saved from the guillotines and did not end up being anyone’s lab rat.

I am still being treated at a good hospital by a team of professionals and getting better day by day. I need your prayers to bring you the harsh realities of life and the victim of being a common person in Pakistan.

There is a lot of food for thought here. Think about it. Until next time, stay safe and Healthy.

PROFESSIONAL JEALOUSIES

Hello Folks!

Today, I aim to talk about Professional Jealousies. It is heart burning when you see the most capable of professionals engulfed with this disease. Today, I will address this ailment and how to keep away from it. So let’s start.

Being human and socially extroverts, most of us have the curiosity of learning new things. And it is the love for learning that brings us across all types of individuals in particular the professionally jealous kind.

They may greet you in the first place and tell you all sorts of fancy things regarding their profession. Once you start questioning then, would you only be encountered with such talk that will automatically help you in taking a firm decision.

A few days back, I too, was encountered with such an incident. And it left a very bad taste in my mouth. So instead of letting it absorbed deep down in me and pollute me with negative thoughts, I decided to share it with all my readers.

And in particular, those people who want to keep on learning. Never be discouraged, no matter how many times you are slighted by people. Keep on pursuing what you want to pursue in life. Don’t worry about the odds.

Don’t let the so-called professional people be judgemental, just because you are asking questions. Questions my friend is a good thing. It only shows you think, observe, and have the curiosity to know more about it.

The private sectors are always hunting for talented, innovative, and honest people.

And frankly, a lot of people are suffering due to the attitude of so-called professionals who in order, to address their insecurities can easily turn a humble person into a rage monster.

Never let the self die in you, just because you have become a victim of professional jealousy. Pursue your passion and move on with dignity.

Every one of us is here on this planet to understand our purpose and to do good to others. When you have the idea of doing good, then there is no space left for professional jealousy.

Each of us will ultimately find our right way stumbling and experimenting but if you come across the professionally jealous lot, change your path. You will eventually find the right people on your road to success.

In the end, I would like to say that status of rich and poor is given by God but respect is earned. Do not let anyone take that away from you. Be excellent in your field; one of a kind but do not let the power get to your brain.

The more humble you are, the more respect you have. Treat everyone at par without developing prejudices and categorizing people as “lip pickers”. Your destiny is decided by the creator and no one can change that.

But, my friend, you can change the way people take you. Think about it.

Until next time, stay Safe and Healthy.

AN INSIGHT

FROM THE HORSE’S MOUTH

Hello Folks!

Have you ever had this feeling of doing, yet not doing anything? Yup, I agree with you. I too have been having these feelings lately. Today, I aim to talk about what to do when you have these feelings? So let’s start.

Firstly, as an individual, I would say that it is very normal to have these feelings. Being a writer or an artist or in fact being from any profession does not tag us to be producing all the time. We too are humans and need due rest.

Secondly, my mind is overwhelmed with ideas ready to be put on paper but at times my mind feels clogged and I slow down just to give some time to my sole self so I can produce something meaningful for my audience.

Thirdly, there are times when many of us are so dizzy to even raise our pens. That my friend is the time when our body is indicating us to stop and think. This thinking will always lead many of us to something good.

Fourthly, always stop without thinking, I can’t do it. Can’t is a word that needs to be eliminated from the dictionary of success. If you want to succeed in life, you need to have positive thinking where more focus should be on can and will but not can’t.

Fifthly, when you have this feeling of whether to write or not, always call up your inspirations or your good friends and talk to them. Trust me, you will never have these feelings again. Why? This you will know yourself.

Lastly, we are all experimenting with life. What may turn out fruitful for one, it might not work for the other. You all will have to go through one or the other experiment in a lifetime. And devise your own plan of action.

Sometimes, things are very simple but our mind is in the habit of creating and innovating so much that we overdo it. Try to keep your mind relaxed without thinking too much. Take things as they come your way.

And you will soon realize that resting was worth all the pains you were going through all the time; to write or not to write. Make your health the priority, everything is second to it. Health is wealth, is not just a proverb; it has a very deep connotation.

Think about it. Until next time, stay Safe and Healthy.
