DEGENERATING VALUES AND
THE YOUTH
Hello Folks!
Over the years, IÂ have viewed a tremendous shift regarding the moral degeneration of society and how it is impacting the youth and the aged alike at large. Something, I have been wanting to discuss for a long time. Today, I will unveil some of the stimulating factors in this regard. So, let’s start.
IDEALS ABOUT LIFE
The foremost stimulating factor responsible for the degeneration of society is the unrealistic ideals about life. There is no single individual in this world who has an ideal life. Everyone has to go through certain struggles to get where he/she might be. There will always be some deficiency in one’s life one way or the other.
The youth and aged alike fail to understand this fact of life and are quick in making hasty decisions leading to a degeneration of society.
LUST TO GET WEALTHY
Another stimulating factor leading to the degeneration of society is the lust to get wealthy quickly. This is another stimulating factor that has affected the youth greatly. They think by marrying an elderly rich woman or vice versa will solve their problem of getting rich quickly.
However, in reality, that is not the case scenario. Not everyone is interested in getting married or looking for affairs or being hooked up with men or women just for pleasure or being married at all. There is so much more to do in life rather than being on the outlook for this. Dramas are Dramas. They don’t add value to real lives. It is not rocket science to understand this.
BLOOD BONDS/RELATIONSHIPS
The lack of blood bonding/ relationships between parents and children and between the siblings now is another stimulating factor leading to a degeneration of society. Parents have a very important role to play in this scenario.No, one said bringing up children was easy. However, as a parent, you cannot put your responsibility on a caregiver or attendant to do your job. You need to be there for your children.
This is what they will learn for the future when they grow up and then you have to be prepared for what comes your way. Earning just money is not everything.
NO/LOOSE PARENTAL HOLD
There was a time when the raising of a brow was sufficient and the children knew their place but now the changing times are making parents fearful of their own children due to the degenerating values that they are picking up.
It is a scary situation that will lead to further degradation of society and lives at large.
USE OF DRUGS
Yet, another stimulating factor is the use of drugs, very common among the youth. By intaking such drugs, the person is always on high, thinking one might achieve the unbelievable. So many lives have gone to dogs due to the use of such drugs, yet there is no check or control. All this is adding to the further degeneration of society.
MEDIA, AS A WEAPON
With the ever-going entertainment and freedom to access, the use of media has turned out to be a weapon in the hands of the youth at large and it is greatly adding to the degeneration of moral values. The poor lot called youth simply fails to see the repercussions of all this at hand and falls prey to this fancy tool.
ONLY ME
The focus of only me to has contributed a lot to the degeneration of society. When every individual focus will be on self and not whole, the results will be very alarming. This rat race of getting all has affected the self of the individual to a great extent.
In today’s world, everyone is thinking about oneself without stopping for a moment and thinking about others. If people at the large start thinking as we, a great many problems can resolve and the youth be saved. It’s never too late to change only if one realizes the cost at the end.
VENT:
The inability to vent one feeling, the right way is adding to the moral degenerating of society and greatly affecting the youth. Mostly, the youth thinks talking and acting dirty would help them achieve what they want in life. Sorry, to break the ice, but such acts and talks only lead to more degeneration.
The vent to feelings and emotions needs a proper platform and medium. Online chats and bombardment of unwanted feelings will do no good. Momentarily, you will feel nice but at the end of the day, you will be the same.
THE ROOT
Addressing the root is the need for time. If you want to nip the evil in the bud, you need to address the root cause of degenerating values in society. The youth of the time needs a lot of mentoring and guidance in the right direction to understand the repercussion of their actions on either the individual or the society at large.
Life is not very complex if you understand the meaning of it and can interpret it in the light of wisdom and religion. You will always have a path of good values and bad values. It is up to you how and what you choose. Think about it before it is too late.

SECRETS THAT LIE IN POVERTY
Hello Folks!
Have you ever wondered about the secrets that lie in poverty? Well, today, I am going to talk about all the good there is, in being poor. So, let’s start.
MEANINGS ASSOCIATED WITH BEING POOR
Firstly, most people associate the poor with not having the necessities of life or not having the standard of a comfortable living. Whatever the criteria out there, there is much more to this definition.
According to my personal observation, I have met many families who by their backgrounds are landlords but are still poor. This does not mean they do not have a comfortable standard of living. They live a life that is comfortable to them.
LEVEL OF CONTENTMENT BETWEEN THE RURAL AND URBAN
Secondly, in comparison to urban lives, where comfortable living means a house in a posh area, a salary in six digits, sending children to elite schools where parents can boost with their acquaintances about their accomplishments. This is not the case with rural lives.
The rural people are contented with what they have and have no desire to look beyond that.
MEANING TO POVERTY
Thirdly, their poverty has a meaning. Something the urban world cannot understand. This meaning is their basic instinct of survival and ethical values which is rarely found in urban life. And it often comes as a shock to the ones living in urban life.
CONCEPT OF MATERIAL THINGS
Fourthly, when one is poor, one is beyond the concept of material things which makes life a living hell if someone possesses it. Let me explain How? See, if you own a car or house or even bank balance, you’ll always be in the fear of keeping it safe and buying more things to keep it safe.
On the other hand, if you don’t have material pursuits other than the self, you don’t have to worry about anything, other than keeping yourself sacred and safeguarded.
PAINDO AND THE ELITE
Fifthly, I have heard and seen people categorizing, a village person as paindo for keeping cattle and hens whereas a city life person modern for keeping dogs and cats and making them a brand. If a rural person is that paindo, then why drink the milk and eat dairy products from his cattles or hen? Why not drink the milk of their cats and dogs?
LOVE AT ITS HEIGHTS
Sixthly, if you want to experience love at its extreme, true nature, go and explore the villagers or people belonging to rural life. You will know the meaning of true love. You can’t find true love sitting over social media. You need to go out, meet people, like minded people and experience it.
EVERLASTING FRIENDSHIPS
Seventhly, poverty teaches all of us the meaning of true friendships that are everlasting. Though it may take a lifetime to find such friendships. However, good judgement and trust too can help one in achieving those friendships easily.
PASSION TO THRIVE
And Lastly, Poverty teaches us the passion to dream, to thrive, to do things differently, yet with great determination and consistency. This is something found more in rural people who are down to earth and have the desire to rise above their means as and when needed.
However, not all rural people can possess all qualities or faults. Sometimes we find a mix in both rural and urban life. It is just a matter of exploring the right path. Think about it. Until next time stay safe and healthy.
