• carrots  (5kg), peeled and chopped
  • sugar 1- 1/2 cup
  • cardomon 4-5
  • dry fruits (pistachio, almonds, dried grapes/kishmish, cashew, etc., a handful of each)or as required
  • milk  1-1/2 liter
  • water 1-2 cup
  • dry milk powder 1 cup or khoya (fermented milk)
  • oil/desi ghee/ghee 1-1/2 cup or as required




Deep large pan, wooden spoon, stove, match, flat spoons, peeler, chopper, or hand grater




Depends on the availability of gas/electricity




  • Take the deep pan and put all the carrots in it
  • Then put, cardamon, sugar, milk, and water in the pan
  • Turn on the flame to a medium-range and let all cook till softened and milk nearly evaporated
  • Now put in oil/ghee and keep tossing it till all milk evaporates leaving behind only oil and sweet aroma of carrots
  • In the final moments mix all the dried fruits of your choice
  • If you add khoya or dried powder, it will enrich its taste and your hours of hard work would be shown in its taste





SERVES:  5-7




08 oz plain white flour

01 packet/6 g yeast

1/2 tsp salt

04 oz castor sugar

01 oz butter

75-120ml milk

01 large egg (beaten)

1 1/2 tablespoon raspberry/strawberry jam

grated rind of 01 lemon

oil for frying



bowl, pan for frying, spoons, cling wrap, round cutter or any round cap, big and small will do, baking sheet




First, sift the flour and salt in a large mixing bowl and stir in yeast and 1/2 oz of sugar.


Then, cut butter into small pieces and rub it into the flour until it resembles fine breadcrumbs.


Now, beat the egg and mix it in the dough. Also, warm milk and put it in the mixture.


Now, knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth.


After that take a clean bowl, lightly oil it, and put the dough in it. Cover it either with a cling wrap or a wet towel and place it in a warm place for 1-2 hours until it rises or doubles in quantity.


when it has risen take the dough out and knead it on the floured surface until smooth. Now cut the dough in half. Roll it out and cut it round with whatever is available with you.


With the remaining half, roll out, make small balls and insert the jam in it and then close the balls.


Now place the doughnuts on a lightly greased baking sheet and cover them with a clean towel in a warm place until the size doubles for about 30 to 45 min.


Now, heat the oil in a deep frying pan. If you have a thermometer to check the temperature (375degree F), its good, or you can simply put a piece of bread and see if it turns brown. If it does, put a few donuts and fry for 2-3 minutes. Turn their sides with a spatula until they are golden brown.


Then take them out and put them on a sheet to cool.


mix the remaining sugar and lemon rind in a bag or in a plate and put the dried out donut in the bag for a complete toss around.


Serve the doughnut while still warm.


You can also serve them with whip cream or chocolate glaze with sprinkles.

Can use Mano Salwa parathas/plain parathas/Dawn parathas/pita bread

Chocolate spread( homemade or Nusa/Nutella



sandwich maker/waffle maker/spoon


10 minutes


Take a paratha and spread a spoon full of spread on the paratha.

Then cover it with another plain paratha.

To make it extra crispy, put another layer of chocolate spread on the plain side

Now fold the paratha in half if you are using a sandwich maker or depending on the shape of the waffle maker.

Do spray or brush a little butter or margarine on the plates of the maker.

Now, bake the parathas until the light turns green or you can see them fluff up

Now, dish them out on a plate and allow them to cool for some time. You don’t want to burn your throat.

When they are cooled you can either enjoy them with more chocolate spread or even a creamy vanilla ice cream.

It is a yumm………y. treat for your sweet tooth.

Serves: 2-4 persons (depending on appetite)




01 packet spaghetti of your choice(Chinese noodles,macaroni elbow,twisted,etc.,)

01- 02 capsicum green

02-03 green chillies, finely chopped

01 medium-sized onion (can use green onion too)

01 -02 carrots

1/2 kg chicken

black pepper according to taste

salt according to taste

chicken stock as needed(powder form)

01 cup of water

oil as needed



a deep wok or pan, flat spoon for tossing, spoon for tasting, fork for tossing



Take a deep pan and put some oil in it on a low flame.

Now put your chopped onions into the wok and stir them.

when the onion starts changing its colour start adding the chopped chicken cubes along with green chillies

when the chicken starts becoming white, add the chopped vegetables in it.

Stir all for 2-3 minutes with a medium flame now.

Now is the time to add your spices(salt, pepper, stock (chicken).

Now cover the deep wok or pan with a lid for 2-3 minutes.

when 2-3 minutes have passed, put your packet of spaghetti or whatever noodles you have in the pan.

Put about 01 cups of water in the pan. Stir all the ingredients and use the spoon to taste if some spice is less.

If so add some of it. Now cover the pan and leave it until water starts boiling and your spaghetti’s start changing their colour.

Pull out one strand of spaghetti and check it with a spoon. If it breaks easily, then it is done and if not reduce the flame to a very low level and let it rest there for 10 min.

After 10 minutes check the noodles again. I  am sure they would have been cooked by this time.

Now is the final stage, the tossing stage.

You do not want to ruin your hard work while tossing. So the best way is to toss it with a fork or take two flat wooden spoons and mix with a gentle hand.

There you go, your delicious, juicy spaghetti is ready to serve.

You can either eat it with a tangy and sweet barbeque sauce or ketchup or as it is.

It is simply a wow experience.



Always use extra oil to make it juicier.

for a stock, you can also use the Knorr stock available in the supermarket but then you have to use less salt while cooking or else it would become too bitter

For spaghetti always use a less amount of water as a greater volume of water may result in making a mash of the spaghetti.

you can also use vegetables of your choice and availability.

Serves: 24




Eggs 02 (room temperature)

cream of tartar 1/4 tsp (for stabilizing the eggs)/lemon juice/vinegar (white)

sugar  1 cup

a pinch of salt

vanilla essence 1tsp


color red, yellow, etc.,

candy, marshmallow, nuts




preheat it to 94 degrees or 200 F




Electric Mixer, hand whisk or a balloon whisk, glass bowl or steel no plastic bowl, piping bag with flower nozzle, parchment paper or lining, Rectangular tray




Take the egg whites and place them in a clean wide glass bowl. Now put salt, vanilla essence, and the cream of tartar in it and mix it with an electric mixer at a low speed.


Then start adding sugar in small amounts (1Tblsp) in the mixture. Remember to keep the speed of the mixer at 1 or 2 levels in the beginning and gradually increase the speed.


We are making meringues and not cake. The patient we are in the process stage, the better would be our results.


Keep on whisking and adding sugar till you can see the mixture forming peaks and is thick and foamy as we have in Mc. Donald’s ice cream. You would simply like to eat it raw.


Now, it is totally up to you to either use a piping bag or a nozzle to make flower shape meringues or simply drop 2 teaspoons of the mixture on the parchment paper-lined in the tray.


Leave a small space between the meringues.


As you have already heated the oven to 94 degrees, place the tray on the center rack.


Now, bake the meringues for 1 hour till they are pale golden in color and easy to lift off the lining.


For ideal use, leave them overnight in the switched off or turned off oven with the door ajar to cool.


You can decorate them in the morning. They are soft from the inside and crunchy on the outer side.


Anyone can make it with no expertise required.


If you want, you can either use whipped cream by putting vanilla essence in it and sandwich two Meringues back to back


or you can simply dip them in the cream and coat them either with nuts or crushed candy and marshmallows.


It’s a complete festivity for all your happy occasions.




Some of you might not like the smell of egg whites so while whisking your eggs, you can add a teaspoon of vanilla essence in it.


Secondly, always start from a lesser quantity, then build-up on your results. First, try with 2 eggs then 4 and so on.


Thirdly, do not give up on anything especially baking as practice makes one perfect.

Serves: 12


flour 1 cup

baking powder 1+1/2 tsp

salt a pinch

sugar 2/3 cup

cocca powder 1/3 cup

chocolate chips/white chocolate  A handful

milk 1/4 cup or yogurt

eggs 2 large size

oil or Margarine 250gms or 1/2 cup


cup cake dish or tray and spatula



Take a bowl and sift flour and baking powder in it.

Then take another bowl and beat eggs in it for 5 minutes.

Then add sugar,milk,cocoa powder,salt and oil to the mixture.

Now add the sifted flour in the mixture.You can either use a spatula or mixer to mix all the ingredients till they form a consistency.

In the end mix the chocolate chips in the mixure.

Now, put themixture 1 -2 scoops in each brownie shaped mould

Since you have already pre heated the oven to 180 degree,place the tray on the center rack and bake it for 15 to 20 min

After 20 min,prick the cup cakes with a tooth pick or fork ,if the prick comes out dry,it means the brownie is done.

Now , place the rack out in a cool place so that the cup cakes /brownie cools.

When it is cooled, you can either enjoy it as it is or drizzle some chocolate syrup on it or even inject some liquid chocolate in it.

Recipe for Something to Bite on

Serves: The whole Family


Oats (barley or wheat), 2 measuring cups

Flour (all purpose) 1 cup

Dried milk powder 1/2 cup

Brown sugar 1/2 cup or so according to taste

Margarine/vegetable oil 1 bar

Almonds, walnuts, cashew nuts, dried grapes, chocolate (coarsely chopped)


Firstly melt margarine and sugar in a sauce pan on a low heat without burning it. Then mix all other ingredients in a bowl. Put the melted batter onto the mixture and mix all. It will take the form of a sticky ball. Line a tin with baking or brown paper and grease it with oil. Put the batter on it and press it firmly on the tin. You can sprinkle chopped chocolate on top and put it in the hot oven for about 15 -20 minutes depending on the temperature of the oven. Make sure to check after 10 minutes. When it’s baked, take the tin out and make marks or cut the slices within the tin. When it is cooled completely, store it in an air tight jar .Now, you have something to bite on when you are craving for a sweet tooth or low on the energy side.

Temperature of oven:180 degree to 200 degree F


1 cup flour

1 and 1/2 tsp baking powder

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla essence

2/3 cup sugar/grounded brown sugar

1/3 cup coca powder/chocolate chips

1/4  cup yogurt(optional)

1/2 cup margarine/butter/vegetable oil

1/2 cup milk

Blender machine


Take a bowl and put eggs, sugar, vanilla essence and milk in it

Blend it with a whisker or blending machine on high speed

Add oil and coca powder in it

Now put flour and baking powder in it

In the end, put yogurt and chocolate chip in it

Now grease a tin or 6 inch tray

Pour the mixture on it and bake for 30 to 40 min until the cake leaves the side of the tin or the bamboo stick comes out dry when pricked in the cake.

Dish out the cake once it is cooled and you can glaze it as you want.

Method to prepare:

Take a bowl and add minced chicken or beef or turkey (cooked).

Add salt and pepper according to taste.

Then, take a slice of bread and spread the mixture on it

Put a slice of cheese over it and dress it with your child’s  favorite veggies

Put the other slice on top of it and put the sandwich into a sandwich maker having the grill plates

When the sandwich is ready the light will turn green .

Carefully, take it out, without burning yourself and enjoy the scrumptious,delicious homemade grilled sandwich.

( You can add sauces to it if you want to make it extra spicy)
