Everyone wants to lead a happy healthy life free from mental health issues. Have you ever thought about ageing women or the mental and physiological? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mental_health
Today, we are going to talk about Ageing women and the issues related to them. So let’s start.
The Ageing women form a forgotten group in the health and social policies of most governments. The case is the same with women in South Asia. Their quality of life is poor.
Almost, all over the world, women outlive men. However, their rights to inheritance and pension are not generally provided for.
Let us dive deep to analyze issues related to Ageing women.
TRADITIONAL ROLE OF WOMEN:
Firstly, Women fulfil an important role in society by taking care of the young and management of the household etc., without catering for their overall health.
Thirdly, Ageing women in developing countries endure extreme levels of poverty due to insecurity of income, famine, disasters, warfare and no or minimum access to facilities.
DECISION-MAKING PROCESSES:
Fourthly, many societies expect Ageing women to keep working and earn for the younger generation.Â
Without providing them with the social status or voice in decision-making processes.
ROLE OF MENOPAUSE:
Fifthly, menopause has serious health issues for Ageing women. Menopause has both short term and long term effects on their health.
Hot flashes, leakage of Urine, Thinning of Hair and less Depression occur as short term problems related to menopause.
On the other hand, Cardio-vascular, Osteoporosis, Alzheimer’s disease and Breast cancer are related to long term effects of menopause.
DO AGEING WOMEN HAVEÂ HEALTH BENEFITS:
Sixthly, though there is a greater emphasis laid on Maternal health, the health of Ageing women is not accounted for.
Most women die due to Cancer, Cardio-Vascular disease, Malnutrition, Anemia, Visual impairment and other kinds of Disabilities.
The reason behind this is due to their life experiences which make them vulnerable to mental distress.
They receive more psychotropic drugs like tranquillizers, sleeping pills, and antidepressants.
Gender Discrimination is mostly viewed in the treatment of men and women. Where men might be treated by a specialist doctor, women are treated by general practitioners.
And Lastly, I would like to say that giving women a psychiatric label is to ignore the underlying causes of their unhappiness and reason for distress.Â
The mental and health issues of Ageing women can be addressed through proper health care and social service systems. Systems that cater for their loneliness and isolation.
Similarly, Ageing women need to be dealt with adequately as they are the custodian of the youth.
If they are healthy and positive-minded, they will give a brighter tomorrow.
Think about it. Until next time, stay safe and healthy.
Nowadays, Children/Teens are going through a lot which is shaping their minds for the days to come or may be for the years to come.
Today, I aim to discuss some of the things that teens are doing in these times. So let us start.
Firstly, the teens are using this time as an advantage to their already acquired skills.
They are more focused in reading about their favorite characters or theme based stories that appeals them.Such as Harry Potter or World War II, events.
Secondly, the off time from school, is helping them in getting back to track regarding their selection of subjects and future endeavors.
Thirdly, most of the teens altogether hate the idea of Home works. If only they could devise a better way to get through it in a shorter time.
Fourthly, not going out to have their favorite foods like KFC,Pizza,or even ice-cream.
They have become innovative themselves by trying out different You tube recipes and food channels recipes to satisfy their taste buds.
Fifthly, they are the same teens who earlier would have wanted their mums to do the cleaning of everything but now they too are willing to participate and share the burden.
Sixth, they want to go back to their schools and communities and work toward a new outlook. They dream of decorating their lockers finally.
Seventh, our teens have started opting for new levels of creativity such as doodling or Animation or decorative arts.
Eighth, they now demand more time as compared to the past.It is a good start altogether.
And Lastly, Teens nowadays, are more responsive and intellect as compared to old times. They are a way ahead of their parents.
Now, is the time to start investing in your children in terms of time and communication and start treating them as Adults.
You as parent can become their best friends and give them the assurance that they can come to you, no matter what the situation is.
Have you ever experienced being mugged online or the feelings associated with it as what to do? in order to avoid such circumstances.
Well today, let us talk about how to avoid being mugged in the first place.
Also, let’s try to analyze what are muggers looking for in a victim? So let’s go.
Firstly, you must know as to what is mugging? Well, mugging is “an assault or threat of violence upon a person, especially with intent to rob” .
However, there is a difference between mugging and robbery. In a robbery, there is always a use of force.
Secondly, a mugger is always looking for things, to go smoothly without the hassle of creating any complication.
The moment,a mugger would sense some kind of threat he/she/they will walk away. Obviously,no one wants to be caught red handed for their crimes.
Thirdly, a mugger will always portray oneself as some important personality or a person of great fame.
Now, my friends it is up to you, to assess how far the mugger has camouflaged.
You need to keep your mind and eyes open if you sense anything dubious.
Moreover, before believing anyone blindly, do your homework.Study about that particular personality, he or she is identifying themselves with.
Be it studying a country’s whole constitution.
Fourthly, Do not let muggers take you for granted. You might have one particular soft side.
Do not let anyone exploit that.If you are truthful and honest ,you will pull through this whole scam.
It is just a matter of time.
Fifthly, look for the inconsistencies in the talk of the mugger. As I said, one needs to have an open mind to understand what is going on and how one is being dragged in the whole scenario.
Sixth, be aware of what you share on your social media platforms.
If you are using them for professional purposes, do not highlight anything related with your private life.
Muggers mostly take advantage of your profile or portfolio. This can too get most of you in trouble.
And even if you do have it on your page, your family should know about it.
These times, with the ongoing pandemics are very crucial for all.Be them pandemics,Economic breakdown or what ever. The foremost thing is staying safe.
Seven, the muggers are mostly one person or a group of persons operating within the system.
They always have some sensitive information to tell. Please folks be aware of online scams.
Do not go for lottery draws or emails from Bill Gates.Seriously they are not that free to draft you letters or chit chat with you at odd hours.
If someone wants to invest or donate in your country, they already know the way of investing or donating.
Lastly,if you or any of your contacts, know they are being mugged, there is always a complaint cell. Please use that and do not be scared of anyone.Â
Why do crimes go unnoticed; because no one reports them. This is a chain and needs to be stopped before anyone for real gets hurt.
In the end, I would like to say that all you kids and folks out there, please be very careful while making a friend online.
I know many of you want to experience the challenge;but there is a lot of time for that experience.
You can always join groups of your likes and hobbies or even talk with real people around you.
Impostors cannot pretend to be real people for long.Trust me, it starts getting to them.
Due to such muggers and online insecurity, everything has become so doubtful that those who are really in need and are the right ones, are put to test as well.
Think about it.Until next time stay safe and happy.
