Today, I will talk about how to overcome regrets and move ahead with life. Let’s u start with what is  Regret.

 

 What is the definition of regret?

 

Regret, at its most basic level, is the feeling that you have done something wrong or wish that you had done something differently.

It is a common trait for humans to want to live a better life. Regretful thoughts are a natural consequence of that. Most people have regrets in their lives, and most of them are caused by the way they think about the past. When we regret our decisions, we can’t help but think about how different our lives would be if we made different ones.

Many of life’s regrets happen as a result of thinking about the past and what could have been. It is normal for people to regret their decisions and feel as though they could have done something better with their lives if only they had chosen something else.

Most regrets occur because we dwell on decisions that were made and on what might have been.

There are many different types of regret, which lead to the feeling occurring for varying reasons.

Regret can be triggered by a variety of things, including how people see themselves, their morals and values, or what they are told they should do.

Regret can also come from people perceiving themselves as inadequate for their tasks for any reason.

How can we prevent regrets?

 

Regrets are always about the past. They are an indication of what you don’t want to happen in the future. It is best to avoid them by taking control of your life and not letting your regrets lead you on a path that leads nowhere. Regret is all about regretting the past, but it doesn’t have to be that way.

Making changes now can change how you feel about your past decisions and what you regret in the future. We don’t need to regret anything if we take control of our lives now and make decisions that will lead us toward a happier life for ourselves and those around us.

What are the types of regrets?

 

Regret is a loss of happiness or joy because of the consequences of a decision, action, or inaction. There are two types of regrets:

1) Regrets about something you did

2) Regrets about something you didn’t do.

Whether in life or business, it is important to make sure that we don’t have any regrets when we reach for our goals and ambitions.

How do I overcome my regrets and start living a meaningful life?

When you are stuck in the past, it’s hard to move forward. What you have to do is to learn from your mistakes and keep moving forward.

It is important for us not to regret our past mistakes but instead learn from them and use them as an opportunity for growth.

We need to forgive ourselves so that we can move on with our lives.

Inexperienced with life and the fear of regret, we often make decisions that we regret in the future. But what if we could change our perspective and only think about the present? Knowing people who have no regrets has made me realize that it is not necessary to live in fear of making mistakes.

We can avoid living with regrets by thinking about the things in our lives that inspire us, remind us of who we are, and what defines us. Regrets come from unfulfilled dreams and unrealistic expectations. It’s important to be confident in ourselves and love who we are today because the only thing that is guaranteed is today.

How to Help Overcome Regrets with Emotional Intelligence Skills?

Most people have regrets about something they did or didn’t do in the past. It is normal to have regrets and it’s a good thing because it means you are aware of your mistakes. We will talk about how to overcome regret and stop any future regrets with emotional intelligence skills.

The first step is to become aware of your emotions. This way, you can identify what is causing the regretful feelings and then take steps to stop them from happening again in the future.

If you want to avoid having regrets like these, make sure that you can identify and control your emotions. The next time you feel an emotion coming on, make sure that you do something productive right away before the regret has a chance to take over.

The Importance of Self-Awareness in Reducing Your Regrets

Being self-aware means that you can identify your thoughts and feelings. It also means that you are able to change and adjust your thoughts and behaviors so that they align with what you want and value most.

Everyone has regrets in life. We all have that one thing that we wish we had done, or not done, or said, or not said. But regretting what the past has brought us isn’t going to change anything. Instead of dwelling on what could’ve been, make peace with your past and accept the present moment.

Conclusion: Spend Time On What Matters And Reflect On Your Value In The World

But spending time on what matters is so important. You can’t fully appreciate how valuable your work is if you are never able to step outside of it and take a look at the big picture.

In the end, I would like to reiterate that regrets are a part of our life. They usually happen when we think back about things that we should have done in the past. But what if there was a way to live without regrets? There is!

We can avoid regrets by finding the right balance between what we want from life and what is realistic. We can find success by being grateful for all that we have and not letting the fear of failure stop us from trying.

Be proactive: You cannot let your happiness depend on chance or luck. It’s up to you to decide what you want and go for it.

BODY SIZE DOES NOT MATTER TO ROCK GOOD CLOTHES

 

Hello Folks!

Now, this is what I would call good luck. I have been yearning to write something on a topic like this for ages. And here I get an opportunity to do so. The statement itself gives its answer. Body size does not matter to rock good clothes. I will discuss, why it does not matter in the following paragraphs based on my own experiences. So let’s start.

As a child, I was more into playing and athlete stuff but as I grew up my focus shifted more towards studying and work on the laptop and all. All-time sitting and very less physical activities. Until one day, I looked at myself in the mirror. I was startled to see my image. That very moment, I realized, if I will not love myself who else would.http://simple.wikipedia.org

So with certain adjustments in my lifestyle, I was back to my good old self. What I want to reiterate here is that stop caring about what people are going to say or what your partner is going to say about your body; you should be satisfied with it and opt for ways to keep it in a way that is healthy and not problematic for you or people around you.

Secondly, you should have a positive image of yourself. I am sure you must have heard a lot about vibes and how they work. Yes, that is true. We all have a certain aura around us. The people in our surroundings pick up this aura or vibe or energy or light whatever you want to categorize it as.

They are going to look at you the way, you want them to. So even if you have the body size of a wrestler, yet you think yourself no less than a movie star, people will treat you like one.

 

Thirdly, you should always wear what you are comfortable with and what looks nice on you. Dressing according to your body shape is the best way to rock.

If you dress up in a way that does not suit your gait, you definitely will feel the odd man out.

However, if you dress up rather simply, no matter what your body size is, you will rock. You need to find out your style or signature according to your body type.

Also, be open to the dressing and clothes of other cultures. You never know their custom stitched clothes look fit on you rather than the ones you use.

You may feel good about yourself for some time but in the longer run, you will become frustrated with what you have become.

The man-made appearance comes with a price but the appearance gifted by your Creator can never be undermined. You should always remember that.

 

The world is a small place. We encounter a lot of people in our day-to-day life and learn a lot from them both consciously and unconsciously.

What, I have learned so far is that Heaven has made a partner for everyone.

They might come soon or late in life but surely will come. And for him/her body size would not matter as he/she would love you for what you are and not how you look in terms of a body.

The soul is the one that needs to be beautiful, appearances and people are short-lived.

People remember us in terms of our deeds and good heart. No one will remember us for what kind of body we had or how satisfied they were with us. BENEFITS OF PUZZLES/JIGSAWS

Have you ever wondered,why do we, as humans are able to remember colours,shapes and even see the bigger picture to see where each piece fits in?

You guessed it right.I am talking about Jigsaws/Puzzles.

Today, I aim to talk about Puzzles/Jigsaws and the benefits that lie in solving it.So let’s start.

Firstly, solving Puzzles/Jigsaws are a way of reinforcing existing connections in our brain cells.This in turn helps in improving our short term memory.

Secondly, Jigsaws/Puzzles are all about patterns.Our surrounding is filled with pattern.

Puzzles helps our brain to grow and develop by finding the hidden patterns in objects lying around us.

Thirdly, it improves our ability of visual perception.The way we see our surroundings,absorb information,then organize it and try to make a sense out of it.

Like reading a book.We look at the words in a book and try to make sense of the story.

Fourthly, Puzzle solving hones coordination in humans especially when it comes to decision making and team playing.

Fifthly,through Jigsaw solving,the critical thinking develops which helps in improving the listening skills, communication and problem solving skills.

Sixthly, beside a good exercise,the release of Dopamine is a benefit for humans when they solve puzzles.It gives great pleasure to us.

Thus, impacting  our concentration, motivation and memory.In a way, the production of Dopamime resets our brain for the greater good.

Seventh, solving Puzzles heightens the creativity in an individual.Making puzzles might seem an easy task but there is so much creativity involved in the whole process.

The more challenging the puzzle the more creativity is heightened. Creativity heightens thinking, enhances self-esteem, and reduces stress.

Lastly, solving puzzles help in the overall brain activity giving peace and tranquilty to the mind as a whole.

It leads to mental  health and wellness of all individuals.

In the end, I would say that puzzle solving is a great activity and should be made a part of daily activities.

As an individual, it has so many benefits;if used in groups one might be able to achieve great heights of success.Think about the wonders it can unveil.

A BIRTHDAY WISH

(Based on a True Story)

It was a night not describable in terms of vocabulary but explained in terms of inner feelings.The pain and turmoil with every passing second (music of grief),enhancing of the slightest sound with the mumbling of the voices.

The night of 30th April,2013 was no less than a pain and torture for the whole family. Waiting in the patients waiting area for hours not being allowed to visit her mother in the ICU, still hoping for her survival and recovery gave her a pain in the heart and brain every time she thought of her mother.

Sitting on the iron chair, praying for her mother ,SHE could feel her hands and brain becoming restless. She got up and went outside the ICU ,where her mother was. She wanted to meet her desperately. Being turned back again and again she went to the sitting area and again prayed for her mother.

Time was ticking(ticking of clock) ,not on the wall only but inside her(pounding of heart),her ears, alert on the announcements of the doctors, nurses and any news that could be heard. It was passed 3:00 am in the morning ;keeping awake all night she could feel something inside her ,unable to answer the questions inside her, she again went to the ICU, turned away again with despair and hate.

She came and started walking to and fro, overall restless not knowing what to do, couldn’t call the family and add worry to their tormented souls; kept on waiting. Time kept on ticking so did the tick tock inside her.

Then she could hear the Fajr prayers and see the dim light of the day. At that time voices started becoming clearer. She then heard the voice behind the counter calling attendant of bed number 27.

With a pain in the heart , praying to hear something positive, she muster up her courage and went to the ICU .There stood a Doctor who on her entry asked her if she knew what had happened to the mother.

Confused in her mind as to why the doctor is asking such a question from her, she explained everything to him. Then he asked where the family was. She told him that they were at home .Then he told her to contact them and ask them to come.

The doctor told her that they were trying to revive the mother who was on ventilation for a week .He told her that she could go outside and call the family. She knew the signals inside were very weak and going outside might take away any chances of not seeing her mother again….

If the mother is revived, she might ask about her, she did not want to take the chance of leaving her, she stayed there and waited, her senses totally numb; after some seconds the same Doctor came and said……we are sorry, she is no more.

My heaven had broken down, the sky seemed falling on me and I feeling as I would too, go under the soil. The medical staff opened the curtains for me. With tears trickling down my eyes, trying to stay composed, there lied my whole universe shattered in front of me. I went near the bed where she was lying ,seeing all kind of pipes coming out of her, I looked at her and then hugged her and kept on saying; Ami please open your eyes, Ami get up.

The voice failed to come out of me but somehow I could hear it. The tears couldn’t stop rolling down my eyes and my mind and heart failed to tally with my words. I desperately wanted her to get up and hug me and kiss me and talked to me but that never happened. My whole life had come to an end.

The whole staff and medical facility seemed like horror film characters. I hated the very sight of them; their words of console and sympathy appeared as wounds of a sword. Nothing could comfort me. I could not leave her sight. They would not let me stay. Broken and torn inside out, I got up and made a call to the family to give them the news. I remembered her wish when she was alive;

“YA MERAY ALLAH, CHAALTAY PHIRTAY UTHA LEINA,MUHTAAJI NA DENA”

(Oh my Lord,take my soul while i can walk; do not give me a life of dependency)

Her wish was granted. It was her birthday….

To have a successful life, we need to incorporate healthy on the go snacks. As an individual, I would never recommend, just pick and fetch snacks on the go. Rather, I would recommend snacks which everyone can prepare the night before or even in the morning. There are so many things to prepare. Can be fruit bars, or dark chocolate cookies, or smoothies, or vegetables stuffed. Whatever, it is, it has to be healthy. Let us discuss some of the healthy snacks that one can take with them.

 

Firstly, one should always make a time table on weekly basis as what is their schedule in the coming week; whether they will have ample time to cook a detailed meal or not. If schedule is very hard to make for the regular meals, then we all fall back on the healthy snacks. Since we all live in an age where time is running, we have to look after our dietary requirements. Smoothies are quicker to prepare and full of energy and antioxidants. One can always freeze a fruit a night before and early morning prepare a smoothie by adding mint or nuts to it.

 

Secondly, one can make a seasonal fruit salsa and take it to one’s working place or so. Fruits not only fill the stomach but have great nutritional value as well. They also satisfy the sweet tooth because they have natural sugars in them. Even fruit bars are a treat. They are simple and easy to prepare. You can simply prepare them in a microwave or even without one. I will share some of my favorite recipes in the article related to how to prepare healthy snack recipes?

 

Thirdly, cookies are something every kid and adult likes to eat. For a conscious adult, cookies combined with dark chocolate and nuts are just yum. Keeping in mind the calories intake, one can always combine their favorite nuts or berries with the chocolate. Even thinking about it, makes my mouth water. This is one of a healthy go snacks.

 

Fourthly, Chia  pudding too is fulfilling and has quite a good amount of fiber, proteins and minerals to provide energy. Chia seeds can either be used alone or accompanied by blue berries, banana and almonds. One can add a variety according to ones liking and through exploring. Only through exploring and experimenting can one find ones liking and what one may be allergy too.

 

Fifthly, if one has a savory tooth, one can always make a chicken pea and black bean salsa. It not only fills the stomach but also gives energy to carry out daily activities. Both these pulses keeps the hunger away for a long time. One can also bake them and use in the form of bars.

 

Sixthly, boiled eggs stuffed in tomatoes, slightly seasoned and baked are excellent go on snacks. They are fulfilling and nutritious. Eggs have great health benefits and are a good source of vitamins. They are good for even weight loss. And  tomatoes too have a great many health benefits; one mainly, it detoxifies the body and works well on the skin and prevents eye diseases.

 

Lastly, one can also prepare yogurt fruit pops, refrigerate them and take with them where ever one goes. It is not only unique but is altogether an experience worth remembering. All snacks if they serve the right purpose; which is a healthy life can become a successful life.

 

Healthy on go snacks, are not something one can find on the shelves. They need to be prepared on a hygienic level as well as home prepared and freshly made lasting for 3 to 5 days maximum. Plus, these snacks should be free from any kind of preservative. Only, then can we call such snacks healthy on the go snacks leading to have a successful life.
