How unfortunate it is when things don’t turn out to be the way you expect them to. You are right dear friends, I am talking about Expectations versus Reality.
Today, I aim to talk about the scenario that has been created amidst COVID -19 and how it has affected Eid celebrations all over Pakistan.
As compared to Eid ul Fitr, this eid too was not much different for many. There were a lot of expectations suspended in the air about the wearing off of COVID-19 but till the end day, no change could be seen.
So, all planning regarding preparation for Eid went into the doldrums.
Secondly, people in different parts of the country were expected to observe the SOP as per government orders.
However, in reality, the market fled with human cattle and goats to worsen the scenario of precautionary measures that were being followed for months.
Resulting in lockdown right before Eid. My sympathies for all those who waited for the COVID-19 to wear off to do their shopping.
Thirdly, in the backdrop of the crushed Economy, it was expected to see a great difference in prices of things but in Reality, from basic staple till cattle and goats of gold, a major difference could be witnessed.
This scenario had a great impact on the lower middle classes and the labor class.
Fourthly, those who feared the COVID-19 were extra careful and fearful to the extent, they didn’t even buy the goats made of gold as compared to the fearless ones.
Fifthly, the labor class was the only one who even worked on Eid day to sustain themselves and their families.
This is a sorry state of affairs and a great question mark on the performance of the government who cannot address the basic needs of its people.
Sixth, it was expected that people will act more responsibly as compared to normal circumstances.
However, in reality, some people behaved irresponsibly by having large gatherings at their places and exposing themselves with greater chances of contracting the virus.
And Lastly, the true spirit of this Eid could only be witnessed in villages, for these are the only places that are free from this virus.
As a matter of observation, they are the ones who in true spirit practiced and enjoyed eid celebrations to its fullest.
In the end, I would like to say that when will we as individuals learn to take responsibility for our actions.
We cannot always blame others for our deeds. Whatever, we did before or during Eid, we have to be ready to face the consequences.
Think about it. Until next time, stay safe and healthy.
Recently, I came across The GEN Z, and by the time, I was through talking with them, my head was spinning. You must be thinking, what could have they said to make my head spin. So today, I will share with you the views of teens/Youth now called The GEN Z.
Firstly, Gen Z, have their views regarding the parent’s generations. They have coinage words to describe us. For instance, parents born in the ’40s and ’60s are categorized as Baby Boomers.
Similarly, those belonging to the late ’60s and early ’80s are known as Generation X. And those belonging to the ’80s and late ’90s are categorized as Millenials.
And finally, the post Millenials are categorized as GEN Z.
Secondly, they consider themselves to be high tech when it comes to software and gaming and so. If they are very generous, they might categorize us as NOOB or Pro. However, the title of Hacker or god cannot be assigned to you for you do not belong to their clan.
Thirdly, the GEN Z, have assumed your role as parents. To them, every parent is a child and they are their parent. Does it bother? Yes, at times; when we draw analysis with our times, there is a huge difference in thinking.
Fourthly, the GEN Z is too much monetized. They think everything in terms of money and has calculated everything from A to Z. Something to ponder upon. Think about your times. Back then we were least bothered about money. A free soul to be exact.
Fifthly, they approach you with the kindest of praises when they need a thing. Definitely, as parents and as a loving generation of our times, we always try to facilitate them but sometimes it becomes suffocating.
Many parents cannot facilitate GEN ZÂ and feel pressured and stressed out due to the ongoing demands of the children.
Sixthly, these are troubled times for all; especially the GEN Z. They need our guidance and due counseling to address their issues. Only then can we be successful in our training and make them a contributing factor to society at large.
In the end, I would like to say that no matter, however, we are categorized, our authority as a parent cannot be taken away. We need to educate ourselves with trending times.
Be it Tech or Education or Gaming or multitasking or time management, we have to be an all-rounder. Doesn’t matter if we are categorized as NOOBS, we can become whatever we want.
Their change in thinking regarding money matters is good for they are born in times when everything is on the high be it schooling, education, entertainment, grooming, profession, competition, etc.
They are more sensitized than we are but we too need to take off the burden from their shoulders by facilitating them as back supporters. In the end, what matters is the outcome, nothing else. So dear friends, parenting is an ongoing process and we are all in the mode of continuous learning.
Think about it. Until next time, stay Safe and Healthy.
Ever since,I have started writing about open topics, I have come across many assumptions people have about me. Today, I aim to clear some of the few assumptions people have.So let’s start.
The first assumption people have about me is that I am very open.Well, I am very open regarding what I write.I try to be very clear in what I am trying to say. And I exactly know what message it will have across the board. So, this assumption is true about me.
The second assumption people have about me is that I am Gender biased.Well, this is an assumption.I try to write on topics that address all genders without being biased for the either one.I respect all Genders and have a quech to understand them better.
In everything that I write, there will always be an aggrieved party. So it is not something, I do intentially.
The third assumption about me is that I am very proud. No, I am not at all. God almighty has created all equal.Plus there is nothing that I have to be proud about.
Like everyone,I too have small desires but nothing big that should make me proud.
The fourth assumption about me is that it is difficult to talk with me. This is totally wrong. My email and social networks are always open to address any kind of questions and I also make special efforts in answering them myself.
Mostly, in my blogs, I openly invite my audience to come forward and share what they want. This is how I connect with you all.
The fifth assumption about me is that I am very strict. Some of my readers often categorize me as Hitler.Well, I am not an extremist but yes, I am strict in my principles and moral code. And that is what I expect from the people around me.
I try to work on broken relationships through my point of view without undermining other peoples view.Today’s world is becoming a global community where we all are in together. So we need to hear each other out and help the ones who seek our guidance.
In the end, I would like to say keep pouring in your thoughts and suggesting topics you want me to address. This is how we all progress.Think about it.
