It was a cold winter morning like any other winter mornings. I sat off to my morning walk in a nearby park. After having done one cycle of walk, I saw a young boy of 12 or so years standing by the side, wearing no cardigan or the sort that could keep him warm in that chilly winter. I asked him to join me in my walk so he might get a little warmer. So he did.
Just as we started walking, he started telling me things which were at the top of his mind. One of the foremost was earning a livelihood. He kept on talking on different topics. And all this time, I listened to him. People walking, jogging in the park would turn around to see who was talking. I let him do most of the talking except where my speaking was necessary.
We had a good walk of 30 to 40 minutes. He was warm enough. I knew what he was there for and that’s what I gave him. He needed someone he could talk to without judging him or looking into his life making him miserable than he already was. This continued for a couple of months. Every day, he would share something new and I would listen to him and he would end his walk with Thanks.
After sometime, I met him in the park again. This time, he was dressed according to the weather and was very happy. He thanked me and told me that he took my advice of educating himself along with learning and mastering a skill he was good at.
He used to play football in the same park, I used to walk in. His hard work, did bring him laurels. He was selected in the local football team and with his hard work he will surely, one day make it to the International team. I was very happy for him.
Sometimes, it is better just to listen to what people have to say rather than imposing one thoughts onto them. We do not have the answer to everything .All we can do, in our capacity is to make them feel comfortable so they can share a fragment of their lives with you. And you in return by just listening to them can make a change.
We as human beings are bestowed with a great many gifts and capabilities yet we are unaware of them. If we could just try to focus on the now instead of giving our self away to the future, we can all make a change in small or big way. Our small gesture of consideration might be a big change in the eyes or life of the other. One never knows..
In the end, I would like to say that our now can become our future if we stay on the right course and be pretentious free. Sometimes, people and things just come out of the blue. Have an open heart and mind to receive them and do not forget to listen to them. And if you are not comfortable with ones thoughts try staying away.
Having a flat stomach/tummy is not an easy task at hands; all the same it is not unattainable if one has the commitment and obsession to achieve one’s passion. Today, I am going to recommend you some secrets which I, used and achieved in having a flat stomach and becoming more successful in life.
Firstly, every morning, drink one glass of WATER on an empty stomach as it neutralizes the toxins in the body. This is the most useful tip in losing body weight fast and easy. If you are not used to drinking plain water, you can always add a teaspoon of honey with a freshly grated lime in it. There are so many other options that you can experiment with; such as herbs in your kitchen shelf. You will notice remarkable changes in your body within a couple of days.
Secondly, opting for different types of EXERCISES too play, an important role in having a flat stomach. The exercises need to be pinpointed, covering the specific area that needs to be toned. Exercises can be Aerobics, yoga or dance etc., From my personal experience, if exercises are done in a standing position, they help a lot. Similarly, high resistant training too, prevents us from losing muscle mass which is loss in case of dieting.
Thirdly, is the introduction of ORGANIC FRUITS and VEGETABLES in the diet. Both are nutritious filling and energy boosting. They prevent from gaining weight in the unnatural way. One should always be aware of the count of calories in case of fruits. A good search on calories count can help a lot in losing weight and having a flat stomach. Organic fruits and vegetables contain more vitamin C, more iron, more magnesium, more phosphorus, and more polyphenols. Our body was designed to eat a balanced diet free from preservatives. The consumption of foods rich in sugars and preservatives lead us away from having a flat stomach and successful future. And this takes us away from achieving our goal of losing body weight.
Fourthly, if we consume foods having FIBER in it, we are on the right track to have a flat stomach. Foods, rich in fiber prevents us from many stomach aches especially constipation. Almonds, avocado, spinach, carrots, tea, egg, peppers are some of the foods rich in fibers.
Fifthly, if we reduce STRESS from our lives, we will be more successful and have a flat stomach. For stress can lead us towards eating without hunger, gaining weight instead of losing it. Yoga, meditation and even chamomile tea are great agents for reducing stress.
Sixthly, to have a flat stomach, we need to be MINDFUL of what we eat. This practice will help us only eat what is healthy and not look at unhealthy eating. We are inclines to eat more in case of work load, distress, or even just laziness. Don’t give away years of hard work for laziness.
Seventhly, to have a flat stomach, we need to regularly use GREEN TEA. It has numerous health benefits such as it reduces weight, regulates blood circulation, reduces ageing, lowers cholesterol etc.,
Eighthly, a good eight hour SLEEP acts as a catalyst in weight loss. Although time may vary in different age groups. Still, the importance of a good night sleep cannot be undermined.
And lastly, observing of FAST too, works on the overall body especially the stomach. It removes the toxins from the body thus cleansing it and making the body healthy. And making us aware that detoxification of the body is necessary. There are also other ways to detoxify the body; such as drinking of mint leaves or coriander leaves. Also teas, infused with herbs work magic on the body.
In the end, I would like to say that the journey to a flat stomach should never come to an end. Every effort needs consistency and determination and should be on going. We become more successful in life when we adapt to attributes that make us successful in life.
Islam gives us a complete code of life. Being a Muslim, there are certain things which one has to abstain from, at all costs and some things one needs to practice daily to become healthy and successful. Today, I am going to discuss the core ingredient for health and success and its practice.
The very first is our belief in the Oneness of the creator (ALLAH) and that the Prophet (P.B.U.H) is His last messenger. We have a firm belief in the pillars of Islam and follow it. As far as our health is concerned, there are certain foods, drinks we need to abstain from.
Alcohol is prohibited in Islam. One of the reasons, being the effects it has on the human brain. It intoxicates the mind leaving no room for what is right and wrong. It can only be used, if need be, for medical purposes.
Secondly, eating of Pork is prohibited in Islam. From health point of view, it causes vomiting, abdominal cramps and dehydration which is fatal in extreme cases.
Thirdly, Islam emphasizes on the practice of Moderation. Be it in the form of eating, drinking or even a lifestyle. One should always be moderate in what one chooses. As far as eating is concerned, according to a Hadith, one third of the stomach should always be kept empty for breathing. The reason for this is that anything in excess leads to destruction as far as health is concerned. And excess eating leads to weight gain and obesity
Fourthly, Islam emphasizes on the Habit of washing hands before and after a meal. One should not use a towel for drying as it may cause transmitting of bacteria and other viruses from common use.
Fifthly, is the practice of offering Salat , five times a day. It is a responsibility and has great many health benefits. By offering salat, our body is in the continuous habit of doing light exercises, which helps in digestion especially after meals. Thus keeping us healthy.
Sixthly, Honey has numerous health benefits. The benefits of honey cannot be undermined for the, great many qualities that it possesses. In Muslim cultures, it is used as a divine medicine for a great many ailments. It is also used as detoxification for drug users. It is used in the treatment of eating of poisonous plants. As a preservative, it is used to preserve meat, pickles, fruits etc., It is also used for whitening the teeth. It strengthens the gums and prevents it from gum diseases if used as a mouth wash.
Seventhly, Blood keeps us going, as it flows in our veins. However, if this blood enters our digestive system, it will become toxic. It is for this very reason the blood of the slaughtered animal requires to be drained out completely before it is eaten. Blood is rich in iron, which the human digestive system cannot consume in large quantities. Moreover, an excess to iron can cause liver damage, dehydration, low blood pressure, and nervous disorders.
Eighthly, another practice which can make us healthy and successful is the daily consumption of Black seeds. According to our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H), “It has the cure to everything except death”. It reduces obesity, helps in digestion and cures several stomach disorders. The black seed oil reduces inflammation and swelling in joints.
Ninthly, another practice, we must follow is Fasting during the month of Ramdan. It has many health benefits. One of the foremost being release of toxins from the body thus cleansing it. It gives our body rest and reduces our weight as well.
And lastly, we must have a short nap in the day as it gives rests to our vital organs especially our mind and heart.
In the end, I would like to conclude that if we practice Islam in the proper way by following the teachings of Quran and Sunnah, we undoubtedly will be more healthy and successful.
