What to do this Year?

Hello Folks!

Most of you will be wondering what to do this year. Well today, I will share with you a few ideas to get you started. So, let’s start.

Lists:

Firstly, make a list of what you want to do this year and start cutting them down one by one. Give the list a proper time allocation and go about them.

Creative Pursuits:

Secondly, be creative this year. You can start with anything; be it crafting, gardening, photography, painting, etc.,

Learn a Skill:

Thirdly, start learning a new skill. It’s never too late to learn something new. One improves oneself with each passing day. Learn the skills that are in and will help you increase your productivity.

Be Open:

Fourthly, become transparent so that people start seeing you as you and not as an embodiment they imagine to be. Be more open and straightforward.

Have Gratitude:

Fifthly, pray to God that this year turns out as you are aiming it to be. Still, be grateful for what you have and have achieved.

Rejoice Small Things:

Sixthly, don’t forget to rejoice in the small moments in one’s life as these are the things that will give you a good future.

Make new Friends:

Seventhly, make new friends and professional colleagues. All the same, don’t forget the old ones and keep in touch with them too. Have a one-dish party or some hangouts following the SOP.

You matter too:

Eighth, while pursuing all these don’t forget yourself. Look after yourself too. If you don’t have health, you won’t be able to make a difference in the lives you care so much about.

Lift others along with You:

And lastly, those who are downtrodden, take them with you. They won’t ask you due to their shyness. You have to take the cue and bring them into the mainstream. Think about it.

Until next time stay safe and healthy.

I TOO EXIST

Hello Folks!

Have you ever experienced the gaze of hungry eyes? I am sure you too must have felt very awkward and uncomfortable. Today, I will share with you an experience I had at NADRA headquarters in Islamabad.

A couple of months ago, I went there for some documentation regarding my National Identity Card. The woman at the reception dealt with me in a very professional way and answered my queries, unlike other females at the reception desk.

I could clearly analyze the professionalism of the woman who not only answered my queries but was dealing with all in the same professional way. I sat down on a chair nearby and started looking around the hall while waiting for my turn.

People entered the office and went to their desired stations. Off and on, the lady at the reception looked at me and did her work. It was a normal routine for me. People staring at me. But that day, I was not the center of attraction.

It was the woman at reception. People sitting beside me passed cheap comments on her and that caught her attention as a result of which she looked at me. I too was getting annoyed by their remarks and gazes for the woman. Soon their turn came and there was a sign of relief on the woman’s face.

Then there came some more visitors. I would say, a total nuisance. The moment they entered. They sat in front of the reception desk and started passing comments on the woman. They would say something in each other’s ear and laugh by looking at her.

Let alone how she felt, I felt uncomfortable too. That’s when I realized, no matter how sophisticated our society becomes unless they accept a person as part of the society, only then can that individual succeed.

No matter how professional a person may be in her line of work, this society will stigmatized her either in the name of a woman or a transgender.

We as a society, are in dire need to redefine policies and looking at people in a particular way. For this collective efforts are needed to include the transgenders in the main framework of our systems and think about them.

Think about it. Until next time, stay safe and Healthy.

PROFESSIONAL JEALOUSIES

Hello Folks!

Today, I aim to talk about Professional Jealousies. It is heart burning when you see the most capable of professionals engulfed with this disease. Today, I will address this ailment and how to keep away from it. So let’s start.

Being human and socially extroverts, most of us have the curiosity of learning new things. And it is the love for learning that brings us across all types of individuals in particular the professionally jealous kind.

They may greet you in the first place and tell you all sorts of fancy things regarding their profession. Once you start questioning then, would you only be encountered with such talk that will automatically help you in taking a firm decision.

A few days back, I too, was encountered with such an incident. And it left a very bad taste in my mouth. So instead of letting it absorbed deep down in me and pollute me with negative thoughts, I decided to share it with all my readers.

And in particular, those people who want to keep on learning. Never be discouraged, no matter how many times you are slighted by people. Keep on pursuing what you want to pursue in life. Don’t worry about the odds.

Don’t let the so-called professional people be judgemental, just because you are asking questions. Questions my friend is a good thing. It only shows you think, observe, and have the curiosity to know more about it.

The private sectors are always hunting for talented, innovative, and honest people.

And frankly, a lot of people are suffering due to the attitude of so-called professionals who in order, to address their insecurities can easily turn a humble person into a rage monster.

Never let the self die in you, just because you have become a victim of professional jealousy. Pursue your passion and move on with dignity.

Every one of us is here on this planet to understand our purpose and to do good to others. When you have the idea of doing good, then there is no space left for professional jealousy.

Each of us will ultimately find our right way stumbling and experimenting but if you come across the professionally jealous lot, change your path. You will eventually find the right people on your road to success.

In the end, I would like to say that status of rich and poor is given by God but respect is earned. Do not let anyone take that away from you. Be excellent in your field; one of a kind but do not let the power get to your brain.

The more humble you are, the more respect you have. Treat everyone at par without developing prejudices and categorizing people as “lip pickers”. Your destiny is decided by the creator and no one can change that.

But, my friend, you can change the way people take you. Think about it.

Until next time, stay Safe and Healthy.
