SCHOOLS REDEFINED; UPCLOSE AND PERSONAL Hello Folks! Have you ever wondered what our children think about schools and the education being imparted there? So
I often think about orphans regarding what becomes of them when their parent/parents are no more and they are left at the mercy of their relatives.
Today, I will share with you an insight regarding this. So let’s start. It’s not necessary that every orphan has to go through the same problems and pinches. Sometimes, we altogether, have a very different experience.
A few months ago, I met one such person. A youth who is working in a medical organization as a medical attendant for the welfare of senior people.
A brief talk with him told a lot about his childhood experiences and the way society reacts towards orphans. So much to learn at such a tender age.
On inquiring about the traditional attitude of the relatives, both maternal and paternal toward him and the siblings, he had no complaints from the maternal side.
He was clear about one thing regarding maternal relatives which was that they were always at their back from childhood to adulthood. Never, did once he or the siblings felt like separate members of the family.
However, he felt grieved on the attitude of the paternal side who was never there for them when they needed them the most.
The only time, they contacted was, when they wanted the land/property. And the way the paternal relatives manipulated one of the siblings for their own benefit. So much so that it led to guilt and shame and the ultimate result was the death of the sibling.
They got what they wanted. But the siblings still await justice even today.
Sometimes, we don’t know where our actions would take us, and we can be easily fooled by clever people. Only sincere friends and family can save us from falling into these kinds of trap.
But sometimes, even friends and family can’t help us and we fall into an abyss resulting in a permanent loss.
Orphans are the most sensitive beings who look for love, care, and acceptance wherever they go. And if they find such people, they own them throughout their lives.
And if they don’t, they keep on searching for people who accept them. Being a medical attendant in Pakistan is not much of a rewarding career especially if the mindset of the employer is of a boss and not of a human being.
We, as individuals are kinder towards our pets but less sensitive to the needs of a human being who we often take for granted.
As far as orphans are concerned, the relatives know how to manipulate them to their own benefit later to discard them from the mainframe of work. It is heart aching to see such behavior always.
If relatives can be monsters then what to expect from society at large. They too are no less than a nightmare. An orphan, even at a tender age learns and absorbs the brutality/reality of life when he /she has to face them every second of the day.
How will all this shape one’s personality? You my, friends are intelligent to understand and interpret all this. Those of you who are guardians of orphans treat them well with utter responsibility and care.
And those of you who are thinking of becoming a guardian to them, place yourself in their footsteps and then act with love and care as you don’t know when fate can stop smiling at you.
It is small acts of kindness that pay us in the long run. Think about it. Until next time stay safe and healthy.
Have you ever witnessed and experienced being treated as a scapegoat at the hands of trainees. Most of you will second me because we witness this every day in Pakistan. HOW? I will tell you in detail in just a moment. So let’s start.
For the past three weeks, I have witnessed this, up close and personal. I went to KRL Hospital as my past experiences were really good. Acquaintances and family members who went in for treatment there, came out alive.
The team of doctors then was a good one. It was a good time. However, over the years, I believe the system within the hospital has degraded a lot. This, I witnessed when I went in after a couple of years.
I went in for an emergency but twice, I was referred to the general OPD where a couple of tests were carried out, nothing relevant to the cause.
Keeping in ICU for two days, I was discharged by giving antibiotics for the treatment to be done at home. And to have followed up after a week.
In between, I relapsed again and got admitted, to have another dose of tests and bla bla to be discharged the same day.
The irony is that I was not an entitled patient or any panel and came in a personal capacity as a common citizen of Pakistan. Not that, I didn’t have references but I wanted to see the compassion of Dr.s there as had witnessed in the past.
But, I only saw money minting and experimenting with trainees who were more concerned about their empirical theories about my state without giving me the source of the problem.
And experimenting with their medicines to worsen my condition. When I relapsed the third time and went to the same hospital; this time not only with severe infection but also neck pain.
I kept on insisting to see a neurology Dr. for the neck pain but I was still being treated for the infections. I spent two days in utter misery and pain and discomfort.
All this time, I was at the mercy of the trainees without an experienced, skill-related Dr. I was their scapegoat.
Finally, my prayers were heard and I got relief from my misery. Not by KRL Doctors or trainees or incapacitated staff but through a reference.
Being a Pakistani citizen, I too had to use the reference system to show you my friends that here in Pakistan to be a common person is a sin.
If you want to live, you need to have support at your back. Otherwise, every one of us is scapegoats at the hands of the trainee doctors who are incapacitated in times of emergencies.
Thanks to my paternal cousins and family that I was saved from the guillotines and did not end up being anyone’s lab rat.
I am still being treated at a good hospital by a team of professionals and getting better day by day. I need your prayers to bring you the harsh realities of life and the victim of being a common person in Pakistan.
There is a lot of food for thought here. Think about it. Until next time, stay safe and Healthy.
We often hire medical and nursing care professionals for seniors in our homes for our assistance.
But have you ever talked to these health facilitators to know about their experiences regarding the people they serve at large?
Today, I aim at laying my focus on the untold stories of these unsung heroes. So let’s start.
When these unsung heroes are hired, the motive behind is medical assistance and care needed for the senior family member but very soon, things start changing.
As the family members solely start relying on medical assistance, thereby shifting their entire responsibility on the help they are getting.
So much so that they forget that the people for whom help is sought are part of the family and require human touch and company.
Undoubtedly, health care professionals do their jobs, still, they are human and require a great time in understanding the nature of every patient.
These unsung heroes have so many untold stories that need to be told for everyone to know what is going on behind the scenes.
I, often visit old homes and meet seniors there. Their stories are an eye-opener and it often makes me shiver to the bones regarding the attitude of the children.
The world has all kinds of children from good to worst. According to the unsung heroes, there is one lot whose entire focus is towards their senior members of the family.
Yet, simultaneously, there exists another lot who lives in the same house with children and grandchildren but none are in contact with the senior ones.
Then there is another lot who have settled abroad and take care of the financial need but do not have the hearts to visit their old ones.
For this lot, their careers and their family is more dear than the ones who bred them and brought them in a way to be successful.
These old souls pass every second of the day waiting to see their ungrateful and selfish children without complaining till they breathe their last breath.
Most of the time, the lot does come back at the funeral to claim the assets and are least bothered about the departed soul.
There are very few among this lot who are really ashamed of what they have done and spent their lives to make up for the loss that was caused due to them.
But, most of them keep on going in their busy lives until life starts paying them back in the same coin.
This, my friend, is life. What shall one sow, so shall one reap.
In the end, I would like to ask all the people out there who have living seniors in their homes or care centers, own them, and spend time with them before it’s too late.
Don’t let sand pass through the time and make you reap for your deeds. Earn prayers from these people even if they are not your own. There is a great blessing in serving those who don’t have anyone.
If Heaven is beneath the feet of a mother, then just think what countless blessings await you while serving one or many. Think about it.
