Every now and then, I keep on hearing about donor agencies who are doing such and such work for strengthening the position of women and addressing their issues.
Today, I aim at talking about these agencies,their sincerities in reality and see whether they are a farce or reality. So let’s start.
Firstly, International Organizations such as the United Nations and National Governments have started acknowledging women in their policies.
Due to the long struggle by women activists, now the International Development agencies along with the Government departments have started paying heed to women’s issues.
Secondly, the donor agencies invite the women activist to come forward and help the agencies to draw up policies for women.
The agencies adopt a cautious approach while dealing with women’s issues.
Thirdly, the focus of the donor agencies is to work within the system to make it work and thus promote women’s rights.
However, sometimes the view and approach of the agencies clash with the personal view of the activists.
Who believe that the condition of the women can only change by radical restructuring of power and gender relations at every level of the society.
Fourthly, many observers have witness a great change in the women movement since women activists began helping the International Development agencies and Government departments.
They have become faces of the same coin as they have too little energy and time left for their activism anymore.
They are embedded within the system and no longer can criticize the policies and approaches of these agencies as they now serve the donors manifesto.
Fifthly, women activists are accountable to these agencies and lose their political edge regarding redressal of women issues which makes the donor agencies a farce in reality.
Sixth, participation of women activists in these agencies should strengthen women movement rather than weakening their place.
Women working in these places need to use their influence to change the policies according to our environment for it to work.
And Lastly, Womens movement has moved from being a movement and is institutionalised and has become a part of establishment.
Women groups are now institutions,feminist are members of the establishment.
And one can see a ray of hope where women are being included in Decision making process and state structures.
However, in the end I would like to say that the women movement cannot be helped by the aid of the donor agencies.It has to heal from within.
It has to reflect upon itself otherwise it will be forced to tread the manifesto of the donor undermining its true worth.
Not all Donor agencies fall under the same umbreella.The exceptions are always there to look up to and considered as a model.They are for real and not a farce.

Have you ever been awed by the behavior of a child thinking what is wrong with them? Yes, you are right. I am talking about Tantrums. Today, I aim to talk about Tantrums and how to deal with it. So let’s start.
Firstly. Tantrum is an uncontrolled emotional outburst of frustration and anger. One never knows when it is coming. But when it does come, as a parent you should be prepared for it.
As a parent, we are mostly aware of the behaviors of our children and know of strategies to handle them. Even if we are unaware of the changing tantrums, it is never too late to study age-related material.
Secondly, there is always a pattern that follows a Tantrum. You, my friend have to keep a trace of the events that follow before a tantrum. If you can decipher the events, you will be in a more easy position to handle a tantrum.
Mostly tantrums are the result of being very hungry or upset or even attention not being given properly.
Thirdly, as a parent, you need to pacify the children when they are showing tantrums. Imagine they are angry and you want to help them in being calm. Soothe them with a hug. It will not only calm them down but will also bring them into the state of talking.
Fourthly, be calm when you witness a tantrum. We lose half our fights if we are angry ourselves. If you want a win-win scenario, remain calm, and be open to listening to all types of arguments and backfire.
At times, it’s a give and takes scenario. So you need to decide at the spur of the moment what role you need to take strategically.
Fifthly, being a parent you have to bring the children to your terms without compromising what you want for them. If they are successful in molding you, then you are in for trouble times.
Always play good cop, bad cop with them. And you know who they will come to in time of distress.
And Lastly, if tantrums are beyond your control, you can always consult a family therapist or counselor, or pediatrician.
In the end, I would like to say that tantrums are a sign of normal human behavior. We all have it at some phase of our lives. As parents, we need to be equipped and enlightened with it when the time comes.

Have you ever had this feeling of doing, yet not doing anything? Yup, I agree with you. I too have been having these feelings lately. Today, I aim to talk about what to do when you have these feelings? So let’s start.
Firstly, as an individual, I would say that it is very normal to have these feelings. Being a writer or an artist or in fact being from any profession does not tag us to be producing all the time. We too are humans and need due rest.
Secondly, my mind is overwhelmed with ideas ready to be put on paper but at times my mind feels clogged and I slow down just to give some time to my sole self so I can produce something meaningful for my audience.
Thirdly, there are times when many of us are so dizzy to even raise our pens. That my friend is the time when our body is indicating us to stop and think. This thinking will always lead many of us to something good.
Fourthly, always stop without thinking, I can’t do it. Can’t is a word that needs to be eliminated from the dictionary of success. If you want to succeed in life, you need to have positive thinking where more focus should be on can and will but not can’t.
Fifthly, when you have this feeling of whether to write or not, always call up your inspirations or your good friends and talk to them. Trust me, you will never have these feelings again. Why? This you will know yourself.
Lastly, we are all experimenting with life. What may turn out fruitful for one, it might not work for the other. You all will have to go through one or the other experiment in a lifetime. And devise your own plan of action.
Sometimes, things are very simple but our mind is in the habit of creating and innovating so much that we overdo it. Try to keep your mind relaxed without thinking too much. Take things as they come your way.
And you will soon realize that resting was worth all the pains you were going through all the time; to write or not to write. Make your health the priority, everything is second to it. Health is wealth, is not just a proverb; it has a very deep connotation.
